  • Is Salon free?

    The self-hosted version is paid once (from €99). The SaaS Salon Cloud is pay-as-you-go from €29 / month. No ad-supported free tier, no percentage on your sales.

  • How much does self-hosting cost?

    The Salon license costs between €99 and €149 (to confirm post-waitlist) + €49/year for updates. On top of that, plan for a standard VPS (€5-20 / month depending on traffic) and a domain name.

  • How do I import my Discord community?

    A guided wizard migrates your channels, messages, files and members in one click via the Discord API. Migrated Discord accounts become Salon accounts that members can reclaim via OAuth2.

  • Where is my data, with you or with me?

    With you on self-hosted: your database, your files, your server. With us on SaaS Salon Cloud: everything stays in Europe (Cloudflare EU + EU database). Either way, you can export everything at any time.

  • Is Salon GDPR-compliant?

    Yes. Hosting in Europe (EU sub-processors only), article 20 (data portability) and 17 (erasure) rights accessible self-service, model DPA provided for professional communities. No percentage and no data resale.

  • How is Salon different from Skool or Circle?

    Skool and Circle take a percentage of your sales and host your members on their side. Salon takes zero percentage, lets you self-host, and brands the product entirely as yours (no "powered by" mention).

  • When will it ship?

    MVP target is 6-8 months after the waitlist closes. Mobile apps, multi-tenant SaaS and native payments land in V1.5 (+ 5-7 months). Join the waitlist to be notified first.

  • How do you make money?

    Direct sales: self-hosted license (one-shot) and SaaS Salon Cloud subscription (monthly). No percentage on your sales, no ads, no data resale. Simple model, direct alignment with your interests.

  • Which payment methods?

    Credit card, SEPA transfer and PayPal for the self-hosted license. Credit card and SEPA for SaaS subscriptions. Stripe and Lemon Squeezy as providers (V1.5).

  • Is there a free trial?

    The SaaS Salon Cloud will offer a 14-day free trial, no card required. On self-hosted, the code is open: you can test locally before buying the license.

  • Can I migrate from Skool, Circle or Mighty Networks?

    Discord import is the MVP priority. Imports from Skool, Circle and Mighty land in V1.5, based on each platform's CSV / JSON export. We assist the first migrations by hand.
